The indoor swimming pool is located in the basement of the Villa.The swimming pool is entirely a "Vlarem" certified swimming pool, which means it has to comply with the strictest standards.  These standards requiring the separation of dry/wet areas with the dressing rooms in between. 3 dressing rooms , hair dryers, showers, a sauna with infra-red waves and a refreshing cold waterfall. The swimming pool is approximately 7 by 3 meters and can be entered by gentle steps with the aid of a stainless steal safety rail. A safety rail continues along the wall of the swimming pool. The water temperature is 30 degrees, the surrounding temperature is a balmy 32 degrees. Jet stream and jacuzzi massage jets make an enjoyable experience complete. Special noise reduction panels contribute to a very pleasant environment.

While you swim, you have a nice view of Ghent (tree towers, michielsbridge and Graslei) as you swim towards a wall painting of "The Three Towers of Ghent" (painted by Wim Deprez). The relaxation area is next to the swimming pool: the daylight roof and wall of glass tiles create a warm and cosy atmosphere.  

Watertemperature is 30^oC, the environment temperature is 32^oC. Special sound absorbing panels on the roof increase the plesant atmosphere.

The relaxation area and swimming pool were constructed where the former conservatery of the villa was situated. The construction of the swimming pool and the relaxation area was an immense work. For some of the constructions the builders had to use cranes over the roof of the villa. Vast structural alterations had to be performed to install the outlet pipes to the sewerage of the Krijgslaan.

The swimming pool features:

• Vlarem approved certificate;
• dry and wet zones with 3 exchangecabines;
• lockercabines for clothing (1€ coin required);
• 2 toilets, of which one disabled access;
• 2 showers and 1 sauna-cold waterfall;
• sauna IR-cabine;
• modern in black equipped pool;
• underwater light;
• a JETSTREAM in the pool, to support continuous swimming;
• 4 Jacuzzi outlets for massages;
• rest- and relaxation area.
